What a great opportunity exists for Eastern Connecticut Homebuyers.Rates continue to stay down.  Conventional rates are in the high 4's - low 5's for 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Loans.  CHFA (Connecticut Housing Finance Authority) offers their 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Loans at 4.625% with 1 point and in some cases even as low as 4.375% with 1 point. According to Freddie Mac, the average rate for a 15 year mortgage reached a new bottom this week, dipping to 4.32 percent, the lowest level since Freddie Mac began tracking rates in 1991.
