 Last week was a busy one, despite the fact there was only one pending sale in Ledyard. Buyers are more active than the statistics show. I have a few listings that were shown multiple times last week and a couple homes that were shown for the second time to the same interested buyer. Pretty impressive considering the bitter cold and ice of last week!
Much of the feedback I'm receiving is that "the buyers liked the house but they have just started looking." Although that can be disappointing feedback to home sellers, it really is good news. Plenty of buyers are just entering the market place and plan to buy in time for the tax credit opportunity which ends April 30th. There were 7 price reductions this week totaling $114,000. Of the 102 active listings in Ledyard, 40% of them have had a price reduction during their listing period. P.S. This week’s photo was taken in Iowa where it was much colder than Ledyard.
