70 Days To Go until the end of the $8,000.00 tax credit for first time homebuyers!

The standard mortgage programs, Conventional, VA, FHA, CHFA and Rural Development are still able to be processed, approved and closed before November 30th if a prospective first time buyer finds a home, makes an offer and submits their mortgage application in the next couple of weeks.   Processing time at McCue Mortgage Company is still running about 2.5-3 weeks.  A closing may be set up and completed within a week after approval.
CHFA Urban Rehabilitation and FHA 203 K Streamline Rehabilitation mortgages will not be able to be closed in time for the November 30th deadline.  The rehab. loans take longer to close due to the extra work that has to be done before closing.
If you are thinking about buying a home and taking advantage of the tax credit, please make your homebuying decisions now.  If you wait too much longer it may be too late.
