With only 1 pending sale and 5 new listings during the past 7 days, inventory jumped to 113 active listings in Ledyard, not good news for sellers. 2 homes were reported closed last week in Ledyard, both sold for under $240,000. In general, showings picked up in most but the very highest price ranges. There were 7 price reductions last week in Ledyard, totaling a whopping $129,000. Almost half of active listings in Ledyard have seen a price reduction since their original listing date. About this time of year, I receive phone calls from potential sellers about the option of renting their homes. Some owners consider renting it on their own rather than using a professional rental agency. Don't make that mistake! I've had 3 sad stories this year of homes trashed by tenants.
