Eastern Connecticut Mortgage Monday

By guest blogger Phil Turner of McCue Mortgage

When thinking about buying a home and taking out a home mortgage loan, it is extremely important to make sure that your credit report has been obtained and reviewed early in the process. A mortgage banking firm such as McCue Mortgage is able to obtain a tri-merged credit report for you.  A tri-merged credit report is a credit history obtained from the three major credit repositories - Experian, Equifax and Trans Union.  By obtaining information from all three sources you can find out if there are any issues that need to be addressed.  Sometimes it is as simple as providing a receipt showing that something was paid a long time ago, sometimes you have to contact the creditor and negotiate a settlement for a debt that is still owed but has now been given to a collection agency.

Anything negative may hurt your credit scores and possibly prevent you from buying a home right now. Please feel free to contact us if you are thinking about buying a home even a year from now.  We can review the report with and help you address anything that needs to be taken of.  This will make the mortgage application process much easier.
