Happy Birthday to my Blog!

  My blog turned 3 this month. When I decided to start blogging 3 years ago, I had no idea where it would take me. I didn't begin blogging because I thought google would find me; I didn't really understand search engines at the time. And I certainly didn't realize I'd make a whole bunch of cool friends in the blogosphere; friends I would eventually meet at conferences and conventions all over the country. Lately my blogging efforts have even allowed me the opportunity to teach others about my passion for the real estate business. I'll be speaking at a number of real estate events this year.

After the birth of The Eastern Connecticut Real Estate Blog, I created a photoblog called Simply Ledyard. Right now, I'm looking forward to the colors of spring; winter doesn't provide me with enough photo opportunities.

I liked the whole blogging scene so much that I launched a blog for my peers called The Real Estate Solutions Blog. That blog struggled getting out of the gate but I'm now spending more time developing it into a quality real estate resource.

What's next? By the time the Eastern Connecticut Real Estate Blog turns 4, I expect to post more on area businesses. I've really neglected them in this blog's toddler years.

I also hope to take a bit of risk here with some local political commentary.  Stay tuned.
