Ledyard and Gales Ferry Real Estate Update

This week: Ledyard pending sales increase as inventory drops

Wow! More good news to report this week. Inventory dropped again AND there were 6 pending sales reported. In fact, there are 41 fewer listings than there were 6 months ago. AND I can't remember the last time 6 pending sales have been reported in a single week!

Wednesday evening, the US Senate passed an amendment to the pending economic stimulus bill which would provide a direct tax credit to any homebuyer who purchases a home. My friend Jay in Phoenix, dessected that amendment on his Phoenix Real Estate Blog. Obviously, the details are not worked out but this could turn out to be great news for any buyer even thinking about buying a home. More buyers means more happy sellers. (Think fist pump here!)
