The Groton Reservoir in Ledyard

Groton Reservoir

One of the more scenic roads in Ledyard is the short drive on Sandy Hollow Road crossing the Groton Reservoir. For a number of years, the Ledyard Town Council has attempted to work with Groton Public Utilities on the use of the reservoir for passive recreation. Although there have been a few organized walks, Groton Utilities has been resistant to allow the property to be used for hiking, biking or fishing. It's really too bad, especially since the property is in Ledyard after all.
