The ABC's of Showing Your Home

Showing your home is a big inconvenience

The market has changed in Eastern Connecticut.  Just 2 years ago, homes were on the market for just a week or two and the inconvenience of having your home on the market was over quickly. Not any more ...

Always expect your home to be shown at the worst possible times....like the morning after your son's sleepover.

Be prepared for surprises and some disappointments. In this market with higher inventory, real estate agents are usually showing several homes at a time so they may arrive early or late.  Or not at all....yes, sometimes a buyer might decide not to look at your home if they don't like the neighborhood or the exterior of your home.  A good reason to make sure you home makes a good first impression!

Call your agent if you have an emergency, someone is sick or if you are having a birthday party.  Although I recommend making your home easy to show, I understand that family situations sometimes require a change of showing schedules.  And certainly call if you are going to be out of town, so your agent can find you if an offer is written on your home!!
