Air conditioner for Sale

In previous blogs, I have offered a series of staging tips for sellers to help dress their house for success  in our changing Eastern Connecticut market.  One scenerio I have not covered, is showing a house in sizzling weather like we have had the past few days. Hot weather presents a particular challenge to home sellers since most homes in Eastern CT do not offer central air conditioning.  When showing a home, it is important for buyers to feel comfortable and stay inside long enough to enjoy all the great features offered. Homes with central air conditioning will give a home seller a distinct advantage at this time of year.  And a home without even a window unit might literally feel the heat of the cooler competition.  My advice - buy a couple window air conditioners even if you don't plan to ever use them again.  Most buyers are looking for a home they can feel comfortable in.
