Buttonwood Barms Sunflowers

If you are looking for a real photo opportunity, be sure to take a drive to Buttonwood Farms on Route 165 in Griswold. The owners at Buttonwood Farms plant 10 acres of sunflowers, providing 300,000 magnificant blooms framed by blue skies and stone walls. People and their cameras show up from all over the state to visit and also enjoy the farm fresh homemade ice cream sold there. During the week of July 29^th – August 6^th, bouquets of cut sunflowers will be available in exchange for a $5.00 donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The event runs from 10:00AM until dusk. So bring your camera and some cash for the very best ice cream and a donation to a great cause!
