| June 17, 2006 | | The internet is a better resource than an open house to get your home sold. | How about trying an open house? This is a common question from a seller anxious to get his home sold. With the exception of new construction, I've never found holding an open house in Eastern CT a particularly good strategy for getting a home sold. I have met some great folks at open houses, many interested in decorating tips but not even remotely interested in buying a home. In addition, open houses can be a security threat for the agent holding the home open. Exposure on the internet seems to be a much better way to get your home sold. Multiple photos showing off your homes best features and links to neighborhood/town resources can get your home more exposure than holding an open house to a limited viewing public. I prefer to use a web resource like Agency Logic, a great tool for creating professional websites for a single property. I've created a number of single property websites which are linked below. | | | |
