Eastern CT Housing Inventory Builds

On April 30, 2005,  the number of homes on the market in Eastern CT stood at approximately 2800.  Since that time the number of new listings each month has continued to increase, and on April 30^th, 2006, the number of active listings topped the 4,000 mark, over a 60% increase since the same time last year.  In April alone,  there were more than 1000 new listings with only 400 home sales during that same period. 

What is selling?  Homes under $300,000 often have multiple offers or sell quickly.  Homes in great condition will always sell faster and for a better price than those that are tired, cluttered and dirty.  If your home isn’t selling, it is only for 2 reasons:  Price or Condition.  You have control of both.
