50 Year Mortgages

Strong opinions on the subject of long term mortgages.

I haven't seen many 50 year mortgages being offered in the Eastern CT Real Estate Market. And I haven't had even one home sales where the buyer was financing his mortgage over 50 years. California is the birth place of the 50 year mortgage...also the state where interest free loans originated. Opinions are varied and some people think the prospect of a 50 year mortgage is just plain stupid but if you are curious BankRate.com has an informative article with the facts.
